Rigo's Place

I moved out here from Chicago about a year ago. Being from Chicago food has been something I've missed. I was looking for some place that had good Italian food so I googled and came across Rigo's Place. This place is a Hidden Gem. When I first walked in, I loved the Ambiance and the piano playing in the background. I loved the dim lights with the candles lit on each table. I ordered the Classic Cosmopolitan and it was perfect. It had the perfect balance of flavors and alcohol. For appetizers the Calamari Fritti was delicious and it was fried perfectly. For the main entree I had the Smoked Italian Sausage Pasta and I loved the homemade tomato Basil sauce. It was really good. For dessert I had the Banana Cheesecake and it just melted in my mouth. It was so delicious. The service was great and the waiters were very nice. 10/10 recommend and I will be going back to try other things on the menu.

Every bite was better than the last! Gnocchi w/ crusted parm appetizer phenomenal. Best Tomato soup w/ carrots. You know your French Onion soup’s on point when you pull out a whole Bay leaf. If your warm bread soaks up some of the delicious soup, accidents happen. Tonight, Lasagna and Chicken Parm. Fresh pasta, fresh sauce, fresh everything. Rigo’s Tiramisu should be renowned, if it isn’t already. Those who know, know.

Warm, clean, bright and comfortable.Rigo's place is a welcoming and friendly establishment. The woodwork adds a warm and welcoming style to a well done dining room and bar. Tastefully decorated with well selected artwork and accents.A wide and varied menu provides quality choices for everyone. Pasta dishes are cooked and seasoned properly and served hot. Steaks, seafood, salads, soups and desserts.A selection of special offerings are provided as well, in addition to the regular (large) menu. Warm bread and butter is served tableside in a covered basket. The well appointed wine list and quality liquor choices makes Rigo's Place a great spot to quaff a few adult beverages in a great atmosphere. The kitchen pays attention to the details and that is a strong point here. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. It was really a pleasure to dine here. I will be back as an opportunity provides. As if all that is not enough, Rigo's have and upstairs private party room for events with its own well appointed bar. My favorite restaurant in the area now! The atmosphere was amazing so peaceful, they had live music when we went.The food is so delicious that we couldn’t resist for dessert, we ordered a tiramisu that it was soooo good!Highly recommended

Went with the Kankakee County Shrine club. Everyone loved the food, nice atmosphere and service. Hope to do it again soon.

Living nearby, we have been to Rigo’s a handful of times and we will definitely keep returning. I haven’t tried a dish I didn’t love (honorable mention: the crab cakes). Angel is the best host you could ask for, and Carley is wonderful as well!

Absolutely great experience! My husband had the lamb shank, I had the half duck and we shared the escargot as an appetizer. Food was amazing, we personally did not care for sauce with lamb but the meat was tender and tasted great. The staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean. Extremely satisfied all around. Will visit again when in the area. Highly recommend.

Had the tilapia and crab cake.. Of course with champagne sauce, excellent.11/8/24 Back for the crab cakes in champagne sauce and crusty bread with real butter. What is stopping you from trying this restaurant? It's excellent.Rigo's special offers a chicken breast topped with a crab cake and champagne sauce. Served with a side of mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables, it was incredibly flavorful. There's a reason it was named Rigo's special.We also had Chicken Marcella and chicken parmesan, which were quite good.The menu is much more extensive than listed online, with a list of daily specials.You owe it to yourself to try this one, many times!
